We areseekingan experienced,practical,hands-onSenior Optomechanical Engineerto join our team and help drive thedevelopment andtesting of ourexistingoptical productsandassistwith future design work.Skills, Experience, Qualifications, If you have the right match for this opportunity, then make sure to apply today.Role Overview:As a Senior Optomechanical Engineer, you willhave responsibilities indevelopinghigh precisionoptical and mechanicalsystemsfrom concept through integration, verification, and delivery.You will work closely with cross-functional teams(e.g. electronics and software)to ensure successful prototyping, testing, and deployment of ourproducts.This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct line management responsibilities, but with technical leader/ownership and mentoring expectations.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the development of optomechanical systems and componentsfrom early concept through flight-ready hardware.Lead hands-on lab testing, includingactively contributing toalignment, integration, and characterization of optical assemblies.Supervisework oftechniciansandprovideday-to-day technical guidance during integration and test activities.Develop and execute experimental setupsand test procedures, integrating instrumentation and control using Python or other scripting tools.Create andmodify3D CAD models for components, assemblies, and prototypeswithappropriate tolerancingfor precision manufacture and alignment.Useoptical design tools, e.g.Zemax,toanalyzeandoptimizesystem performance and correlate optical models with measured testdata..Collaborate with optical, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of subsystems.Document designs, test plans, and results clearlybothfor internal teams and external stakeholdersin linewithindustrystandards.Work with opticalcomponentsuppliersincluding technical discussions, drawing reviews, and support to procurement and inspectionactivities..Support environmental testing activities (e.g. vibration, thermal vacuum) andsubsequentperformance verification.Contribute to the designof futureoptomechanical systems and components.Required Skills & Experience:Proven experience in optomechanical engineering, including lab-based system testing and integration.Hands-on experience with optical alignment, characterization, and testing equipment.Strong understanding of how optical components are manufactured.Strong knowledge of optical design software (Zemax) and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).Experience scripting in Python to automate tests, control equipment, oranalyzedata.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.Excellent communication skills and ability toexplain optical knowledge with otherengineers.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with custom optical assemblies, lens systems, or optomechanical mounts.Experienceworkingwith long-wave infra-red(8 to 13 microns wavelength range)opticsand sensors.Knowledge of tolerance analysis, thermal/mechanical effects on optical systems, and precision manufacturing.Familiarity with laboratory automation, data acquisition systems, or control electronics.Experience with vibration, shock, and thermal-vacuum testing of optical systems.Knowledge of ECSS, ISO, or equivalent engineering standards.What We Offer:Opportunity to work on innovative optical systems at thecutting edgeof technology.Collaborative, dynamic work environment with a strong engineering culture.Career growth opportunities and the ability to shape new projects from concept to production. xjdpvnf Apply Today:Ifyourean experiencedhands-on engineer with a passion for optics and mechanics, and thrive in experimental lab environments, we want to hear from you!
