HGV Class 1 Night Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Winwick area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Night Drivers to join the team. New pass welcome Shifts: Shifts run across Sunday to Friday (occasional Saturday) - drivers must be available to work Sundays and Fridays. Hours: Between 22:00pm - 23:59pm starts Pay Rate: 16.56 per hour PAYE, rising to 17.26 after 12 weeks Location: Winwick, WA2 Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate The role: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements: Full UK driving license with Class 1 (category C&E). Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on license (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills. A safety-first mindset.
