Location: Warrington or BristolThe ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.The Experis Academy offers an exciting opportunity for a delivery-oriented individual to be trained and upskilled as a highly skilled Estimator in a clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning company. Join our growing Academy division, where you will be trained and developed while representing Experis on a leading engineering account. Our programmes aim to develop talent pools to become permanent members of our industry-leading clients.We seek an ambitious candidate with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. If you are looking to reskill or develop your estimating skills, this could be the role for you. It is a challenging but rewarding position requiring excellent customer-facing and team-working skills.You will support estimating activities for projects and programmes within a delivery environment and collaborate with like-minded professionals to solve complex problems in the nuclear and infrastructure sectors.As part of the programme, you will receive comprehensive training in project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M), including courses in project management, planning and controls, Primavera, and Excel. Soft skills such as negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution will also be covered through scenario-based workshops.The Role The Estimating team calculates the costs associated with providing products or services to clients. Estimators participate during the tender process and throughout the project lifecycle to estimate costs of changes. Responsibilities include compiling estimates based on materials, labour, equipment, subcontracts, and supplier costs, using various sources like bills of quantities, schedules, drawings, and specifications.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesDeliver estimates using appropriate methodologies as directed.Follow the estimating plan and structure, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).Adjust estimates based on project feedback and lessons learned.Develop baseline estimates to meet project control and financial requirements.Create independent cost and schedule estimates and analyze data using various techniques.Select and document suitable estimating approaches, maintaining the basis of estimate (BoE).Manage risk and opportunities, support negotiations, and ensure timely submission of proposals.Perform 'what if' scenario analyses.Ensure compliance with internal processes and guidelines.Share lessons learned and participate in ongoing training.Adjust systems and processes to industry best practices.Minimum AttributesStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proactive in identifying potential issues.Commitment to high-quality work and continuous learning.Experience in a delivery-focused environment within engineering, project, or construction management.BenefitsCompetitive salary with bonus opportunities.Entry into a leading organisation in clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning.Comprehensive training and qualification opportunities.Other BenefitsContributory pension scheme.Employee Assistance Program.Medical and Dental cover.22 days holiday plus bank holidays.Maternity, shared parental, and paternity leave.Sick pay.#J-18808-Ljbffr
