Job Description Are you an experiencedSite Engineerlooking to transition into aBid Engineerrole? We are seeking aBid Engineerto join our Specialist Drilling a genuine opportunity to transfer your site-based experience into an office-based position.The role benefits from a structured working pattern that promotes a healthier worklife balance and a continued involvement with live projects and operational teams. The role is offered on a full-time basis and can be based from one of the Igne offices nationwide. A full UK driving license and a willingness to travel is required.Youll support the preparation of accurate, competitive, and compliant tenders and cost estimates across a range of projects including borehole drilling, water systems, and pump installations. If you want to join an innovative, fast-paced and dedicated team who are making a difference, wed love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Assist in preparing tender submissions, cost estimates, and budgetsAnalyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation tounderstand scope and requirementsObtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring accuracy and competitivenessSupport the preparation of bills of quantities, schedules, and cost breakdownsMaintain estimating databases, cost libraries, and historical pricing recordsAssist with riskanalysis and identify key commercial considerationsAttend site visits, pre-tender meetings, and client briefings as requiredLiaise with internal teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and finance to gather relevant inputSupport post-tender negotiations and handover to project delivery teamsContribute to process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standardsWhat Were Looking For:Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skillsExcellent interpersonal and negotiation skillsExcellent time management and organisational abilityExperience using Microsoft ProjectRelevant professional qualificationsFull valid UK driving licenceSalary & Benefits:38,000 per annum + Company Car Allowance33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)Continuous training and developmentEnhanced maternity & paternity payBuy/Sell annual leave schemeMedical cashback planDeath in service schemeReal Living Wage EmployerWe areIgne Group Limited, a synergetic amalgamation of six companies, renowned within our respective fields, with over 350 years of combined experience.A one-stop shop for pre- and post-construction services, Ignes six service categories are: ground investigation, testing, unexploded ordnance, specialist drilling, geothermal, and geo-environmental.We are a Real Living Wage Employer, a DisabilityConfident Employer, and signatories of the ArmedForces Covenant.
