Commercial Heating Engineer

We are recruiting for a Heating Engineer to join our Engineering team at Emtec Climate Solutions. Youll be responsible for delivering high quality reactive, service and maintenance support into commercial and industrial businesses. Youll work on boilers, heaters and oil fired heating equipment, taking jobs from diagnostic stage through to completion, including reactive works, fault finding, breakdowns, servicing and routine maintenance. This is a field based role covering the North West with some visits to the HQ. The role is ideal for Engineers who are used to working independently, identifying and resolving faults and representing Emtec on customer sites. Your responsibilities: Reactive works and fault resolution Attend reactive call outs and breakdowns across customer sites Diagnose faults on boilers, heaters and oil-fired heating systems Carry out safe, effective repairs and escalate issues where required Undertake electrical checks and minor electrical tasks as part of heating diagnostics Service and maintenance Complete servicing, PPM and compliance tasks for all heating plant Maintain systems to manufacturer and industry standards Ensure accurate completion of service reports, documentation and job records Independent working and customer service Work independently on field based tasks, managing time, spares and job delivery Provide updates to customers and internal teams on progress and recommended works Adhere to all site and company safety procedures including RAMS and permits What were looking for: Experience 2-3+ years experience as a Heating Engineer Proven background in reactive works, maintenance, servicing, fault finding and breakdowns Experience working independently within a mobile engineering role Experience working on boilers, heaters and oil fired equipment Electrical experience to support isolations, diagnostics and minor repairs Qualifications required NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Heating and Ventilating, or equivalent ACS Commercial gas tickets as follows: CoCDN1 - Changeover from commercial natural gas to domestic natural gas COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety assessment criteria CoDNCO1 - Changeover domestic natural gas to commercial CDGA1 CIGA1 CORT1 ICPN1 TPCP1 or TPCP1A Oil qualifications (desirable but not critical) What we offer: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Company vehicle, fuel card and all tools/equipment provided Full uniform and PPE Tablet/laptop and digital systems for job management Private health insurance and death in service cover Company pension scheme On site parking at Warrington HQ About Emtec Climate Solutions: Emtec Climate Solutions is a growing HVAC specialist based in Warrington, delivering service, maintenance, and installation solutions to clients across the UK.
