Senior Estimator Civil Engineering Salary: From 50,000 (depending on experience) Location: Warrington Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: currently building a new office, so they are offering hybrid work (2 days from home, 3 days on site) About the Role: As a Senior Estimator , youll play a vital role in the pre-construction phase of our civil engineering projects. Youll be responsible for analysing tender documents , preparing accurate cost estimates , and contributing to successful bid submissions . This is a key position where attention to detail , industry expertise , and a proactive approach are essential. Youll work collaboratively with the commercial and delivery teams to ensure a seamless handover from tender to execution. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects. Review and assess tender documentation , drawings, and specifications. Identify risks and opportunities within the project scope. Collaborate with commercial, planning, and delivery teams to ensure consistency in pricing and methodology. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Prepare bills of quantities (BoQs) , pricing schedules, and supporting tender documentation. Support value engineering initiatives to ensure cost efficiency and innovation. Requirements: Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering or infrastructure sectors. Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway, Conquest, or equivalent). Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Self-motivated with a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Sound knowledge of infrastructure, drainage, earthworks, and highways projects. Experience: Previous experience as a Health & Safety Officer : 3 years (preferred).
