Digital Media Technician & Video Creator - Culcheth High SchoolThe roleCulcheth High School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and technology-savvy Technician to work within our Media Department. The ideal candidate will be adept at using and promoting new technologies. This is a permanent contract, working 32.5 hours a week, term time only. The role encompasses: responsibility for digital media creation across the whole school; filming within the classroom environment and during school events; operating drone and camera equipment; video editing to produce quality school videos; creating posters and design work for the school website and social media platforms. The position also provides both technical and administrative support within the Media Department. Duties include guiding and supporting students in class; providing demonstrations and practicals; setting up and maintaining photographic, filming, and editing equipment; reordering stock; maintaining an inventory of resources; and supporting and supervising small groups of students working on curriculum-specific projects. Our Technicians play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our departments. It is essential that the successful candidate is confident in providing support in a multi-disciplinary capacity. To be suitable, you must be practical, organized, and possess good interpersonal skills. You should be proactive, pragmatic, and have a problem-solving approach. The ability to engage with young people is essential. The ideal applicant will have the qualifications and experience outlined in the person specification. However, we understand candidates may not have experience in all areas of technology mentioned. We are committed to safeguarding our students and staff.
