SHEQ Manager

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading construction and engineering business on the appointment of a SHEQ Manager.This hands-on role will see you take ownership of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality compliance across multiple projects in both NI and ROI. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for implementing robust SHEQ systems, driving a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with UK and Irish legislation.In your new role:Manage and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systemsDevelop, review and update SHEQ policies and procedures in line with legislation and industry best practiceCreate project-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)Carry out regular site visits to monitor safety performance and ensure complianceLead risk evaluations and implement preventive measuresCoordinate with HR to deliver safety inductions and training for employees and contractorsInspect plant, equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with safety standardsCompile quality reports, statistical reviews and other relevant documentationInvestigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actionsSupport pre-qualification and tender submissions by completing H&S questionnairesPromote a proactive, collaborative safety culture across all levels of the businessWhat you will need to succeed:Relevant experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or related sectorsNEBOSH General CertificateExperience auditing against ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001Strong working knowledge of safety regulations in the UK and IrelandIT and numeracy skills (MS Office)Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to engage stakeholders at all levelsFull, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across NI and ROIDesirable (it would be great if you have this, but don’t worry if you don’t):Level 6 qualification in Occupational Safety and HealthNEBOSH Construction CertificateISO Internal Auditor certificationExperience within M&E construction projectsFor a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
