Head Chef - Natural History Museum (London)

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join the team at the iconic Natural History Museum.Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.Our food offer at the Natural History Museum ranges from busy cafes serving freshly made sandwiches and barista coffee, to family friendly restaurant with pizzas, burgers, and seasonal dishes. In addition, we cater for a variety of casual events, including museum sleepovers.We Offer:Shifts: Mainly daytime, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)Contract: Full Time, PermanentAbout the Head Chef role:To plan, organise and direct the kitchen team to deliver exceptional fresh and seasonal food to specification, ensuring that we never compromise on taste and qualityTo drive sales and monitor costs through responsibly ordering via quality and preferred suppliersTo be responsible for all aspects of food safety, health and safety and COSHHTo manage rotas and scheduling accordingly to the business needsTo coach, train and develop theteamTo work closely with the group Executive Chef on menu developmentThe ideal candidate will be:Passionate about designing, creating and delivering exceptional food dishesExperienced working within a high volume kitchenCommercially aware- i.e understanding or profit margins, purchasing, budgets, labour, food costsAdditional InformationBenugo has built a culture of inclusivity & progression for all employees.
