From planning engaging activities and providing one-on-one support to accompanying young people on off-site trips, each day presents new challenges and opportunities. As a residential care worker, youll need to be adaptable, flexible, and skilled at reading situations to help guide young people towards making positive choices.For this role, whilst experience is preferred it is not necessary if you have a positive, can-do attitude and the passion to make a real, meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people then this is the perfect role for you!What We Offer:30 per sleep in - on a full time basis this could be an additional 3600 per year (based on 10 sleep ins per month)A full two weeks of paid training before starting the roleOvertime rate of x1.25NVQ Level 4 in children and young peoples workforcEOur Shift Patterns:2 3 shifts per week on a full-time basissleep ins are mandatory.Key responsibilities include:Providing emotional support during challenging timesFostering ambition in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximising their potentialOffering support in the educational pursuits of young individualsMaintaining accurate records and preparing written reports for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line manager.Empowering young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and futureActing as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussionEncouraging community engagement, attending off-site activities, and expanding their personal social networksMeeting the needs of children and young people, organising social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning shopping etc.)Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:Minimum age requirement: 21 years oldFull UK driving license preferable but not essentialNo prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young peopleMust have availability for sleep-in shiftsBenefits:30 additional payment per sleep-in shiftEnhanced DBS coveredComprehensive induction and training provided2-3 shifts per week for an excellent work/life balanceRota provided 4 weeks in advanceIf you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of young people, we invite you to join our dedicated team.
