Nights Manufacturing Lead - Fabrication Wakefield Permanent Nights – Monday – Thursday 8pm – 7amElevation Recruitment Group are proud to be exclusively supporting one of our West Yorkshire based clients in their search for a Manufacturing Lead to oversee all steel fabrication activities across the night shift. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll supervise a team of welders and fabricators to ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and to specification.Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Lead include:Lead the fabrication team to meet daily and weekly targets for steel frames and assembliesSupervise welding, cutting, and assembly tasks to ensure compliance with drawings and production specsProvide technical guidance and development opportunities to your teamPromote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environmentMonitor stock levels of consumables, tools, and materials to prevent downtimeCollaborate with QA and H&S teams to address issues and implement continuous improvementsSupport a culture of accountability, quality, and efficiency across the teamWe’re looking for Manufacturing Leaders with the below skills & experience:Hands-on experience in a fabrication or steel manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawingsLeadership experience in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of welding standards and fabrication practicesStrong awareness of health and safety in a manufacturing environmentPositive, proactive leadership style and effective communication skillsNVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalentUnderstanding of lean manufacturing principlesThis is a great opportunity to be part of a growing business who are at the forefront of their market!
