Job Description United Infrastructure is a dynamic and rapidly expanding business, focused on delivering critical infrastructure projects, across the utility and social infrastructure sectors.Our team of highly skilled and hardworking specialists deliver innovative solutions to the complex challenges our clients face.Utility Infrastructure Our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power, and telecoms infrastructure, for the UKs largest network owners and operators.One of our key strengths lies in our ability to deliver projects nationally, but also ensuring that within each programme of work, we engage with local communities.We do this through employing people who are representative of the local communities we work in, training and developing them to take pride in the work they do, and to be responsible for delivering leading levels of performance across our projects.Job DescriptionUnited Infrastructure is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Water team based in Wakefield.As part of a dynamic, fast-growing division, you will be at the heart of nationally significant infrastructure projects that will shape the UKs future.What You will Be DoingAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial responsibilities and contributing towards its success across the full lifecycle of each project from contract negotiation to cost reporting. You will be:Contract management in line with NEC 4 (Options A, B, C & E)Subcontractor negotiations, and contract management.Application for payments both Client and Subcontract.Forecasting and performance tracking both Client and Subcontractors.Project risk management, reviewing day-to-day project risks.Site visits for monthly AFP, sub-contract assessmentsCreate and manage cost to completes to ensure the business is aware of the project position.Deliver accurate and timely budget, cost, and change reporting.Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and generate Earned Value Analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentationQualificationsBSc in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial field.Professional membership status desirable (RICS, ICES)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on ExcelStrong numerical and analytical skillsAbility to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.Excellent diligence and organizational skillsEffective communication and people skillsEnthusiasm, commitment, and flexibilityWillingness to take responsibility for own development and extend knowledge of software packages.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Previous experience in the water industryFull UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.Join us at United Infrastructure today and be part of our mission to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to the complex infrastructure needs of the UK.
