Our client, a well-established leading building contractor, have an excellent opportunity for an Estimatorto join their growing business. With offices based in Verwood, they provide accredited building services to clients throughout the corporate, commercial and public sectors. Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.We are looking for an Estimator with experience within the construction industry and calculating costs for large projects.Duties to include:Reading drawings and completing detailed measurements for tendersObtaining quotes for all scope requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers within a specified time frameCollating detailed price lists for everything needed on each tenderCalculating the cost of materials, labour, and prelims for tendered scopeCompiling tender submissions and issuing to potential clients in a timely mannerPresenting bids to clients and answering their mid and post-tender queriesMaking use of relevant computer software such as Excel, Word, and Microsoft suiteAttending meetings and site visits with potential clientsBuild, influence, and maintain relationships with key internal and external StakeholdersLead and provide guidance and estimating expertise at Bid, Project, Commercial, and customer reviews and meetings and support negotiationsRequirements:Experience within a similar role within the building industry Good overall knowledge of the building industryFull Drivers LicenceConfident with Microsoft Office programsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritise and deal with multiple demandsThis role is based in Verwood, Monday Friday and onsite parking is available.
