We’re looking for a Transport Administrator to join our dynamic supply chain team within a leading FMCG business.About the RoleThis is a pivotal role focused on the administrative side of transport operations. While our transport is handled by a third-party logistics partner, you'll act as the vital link between internal teams, hauliers, and customers—ensuring smooth, cost-effective deliveries every day.Responsibilities: Process daily customer orders and compile the transport diaryCoordinate and communicate delivery schedules to hauliersPlan loads and optimises routingTrack daily transport costs, fuel usage, and report discrepanciesUpdate SAP systems with transport and cost dataEnsure we're getting value for money—no unexpected costs or overchargesCustomer InteractionAround 40% of your role will support our Customer Service team, helping to:Liaise with customers on order delays, shortages, and delivery issuesResolve invoice queries and manage PO processingUse customer portals to track, update, and respond efficientlyRequirements:Previous experience in a logistics, transport or supply chain admin roleGood understanding of transport cost managementStrong IT skills – Excel, Outlook, and ideally SAPExperience dealing with customers, hauliers, or major retailersHighly organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling prioritiesThe Team & CultureOpen-plan office environment with Customer Service and Transport colleaguesClose collaboration with Planning and Materials teamsYou'll work independently, but with plenty of support from a friendly and experienced teamCareer DevelopmentWe offer great progression opportunities across the supply chain – including roles in materials handling, production planning, and beyond.If this role is of interest, please apply with your updated CV and a member of our team will get in touch.
