Product Safety EngineerInitial 12 Month Contract 4 day working week (Mon-Thurs) 3 days per week on site - 1 day working from home Glascoed, Monmouthshire53.90 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)The RoleProduction of documentary evidence to support the production of a Safety and Environmental Case (SEC).Creating and maintaining product Hazard Logs.Contributing to the business requirement to deliver conforming product.Undertaking safety reviews of engineering designs to ensure compliance with the Product Safety and Environment Management Framework, business policies, procedures and associated management plans.Provide support and advice to the Design Organisation on matters relating to product safety for projects and bids.Undertaking a range of techniques for conducting Hazard Identification, Analysis and Risk Assessment, for example FMEAs, FTAs.The Candidate Deriving and setting safety criteria and requirements using UK MOD defence standards such as: Def Stan 00-056, Def Stan 00-51, Def Stan 07-085 or DSA 03.OME (formerly JSP 520)Proven track record of producing technical engineering reports including compelling ALARP and safety argumentsIf this role is of interest, please send a copy of your CV to Tom McGuire by clicking the 'Apply Now' button.
