Part time Senior Finance Assistant Permanent | Ulverston | 3 days a week If you want a permanent finance role that gives you proper work-life balance without dropping to temp or contract work, this could be ideal.The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Im working with a brilliant business to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant into their finance team.This is a broad, hands-on role that sits at the heart of day-to-day finance operations, with a strong focus on credit control, reporting and month end support.The role Youll play a key part in keeping cashflow healthy through effective credit management, while also supporting month end, quarter end and year end reporting.Theres also exposure to audit prep and wider finance admin, giving the role real variety.Youll work closely with the Management Accountant, with a good level of autonomy day to day, but as part of a collaborative team.What youll be doing Credit control & customer accounts Managing credit control activity end to end Working with sales to pre-qualify terms for new customers Carrying out credit checks and maintaining customer accounts Issuing sales invoices and monthly statements Chasing and resolving aged debt and account queries Reviewing credit terms and reporting on bad debt provisions Reporting & month end support Preparing monthly finance reports and schedules Supporting reconciliations and month end processes Assisting with quarter end and year end reporting Supporting KPI and management information reporting Maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation Expenses, admin & cover Administering the online expenses system Supporting wider finance admin and document control Providing cover for purchase ledger during holidays Documenting finance processes Audit & compliance Preparing data and analysis for audit Playing an active role in audit prep and audit delivery Ensuring policies, controls and procedures are followed What theyre looking for AAT Level 3 or above, or qualified by experience Ideally 45 years experience in a busy finance team Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems Organised, reliable and comfortable working independently Someone who enjoys responsibility and getting things done properly Why xjdpvnf its worth a look Broad role with genuine responsibility Exposure to credit control, reporting and audit Stable, established business Supportive finance team with clear structure A role where youre trusted to run your area, not micromanaged Benefits Salary 30-35k (full time equivalent) 25 days holiday plus bank ( full time equivalent) Strong pension contribution Profit share (annually dependant on performance) Lots of other market leading benefits (get in touch for info) If youre a Senior Finance Assistant (or a strong Finance Assistant ready to step up) and want a role with variety, ownership and stability, this is well worth a conversation.Interviews to be conducted from February 9th onwards
