Job DescriptionContract Supervisor (Grounds Maintenance)Location: Westmorland (including Barrow in Furness, Kendal & surrounding areas)Contract type: Permanent, Full TimenSalary: Competitive salary depending on experienceWorking hours: 39 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 & Friday 07:30 - 12:30About the roleWe are seeking a motivated Contract Supervisor (Grounds Maintenance) to lead the day-to-day management of greenspaces throughout the Lake District Westmorland Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of grounds maintenance operations ensuring all activities are delivered in line with contract specifications and meet the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. If you're looking for an exciting opportunity and to progress your career, this is the place to grow!nRequirementsnnProven experience in Contract Supervisor roles with demonstrated expertise in grounds maintenance or transferable sector experiencenEnsure compliance with company health and safety regulations to promote good culture and a safe and risk-free working environment.nOverseeing designated teams of staff across various locationsnDeliver staff safety briefings and safety audits.nEnsure completed works are recorded in line with contract requirements.nTo provide a front-line presence and good company image to the public, the client and third parties.nTo deputise for line management teams during periods of annual leave and other absence.nTo attend various training courses relating to the role.nCemetery experience beneficial but not essential (COTS training can be provided if required)nA full valid UK driving license is essential for the daily role & to ensure that excavator training can be provided (if not already held)nStrong Communication & IT Literacy skillsnnnWhy join us?nAs the UK's leading grounds maintenance and landscape creation provider, no two projects are ever the same - and neither are our people.
