Job Description Part time Senior Finance AssistantPermanent | Ulverston | 3 days a weekIf you want a permanent finance role that gives you proper work-life balance without dropping to temp or contract work, this could be ideal.Im working with a brilliant business to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant into their finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role that sits at the heart of day-to-day finance operations, with a strong focus on credit control, reporting and month end support.The roleYoull play a key part in keeping cashflow healthy through effective credit management, while also supporting month end, quarter end and year end reporting. Theres also exposure to audit prep and wider finance admin, giving the role real variety.Youll work closely with the Management Accountant, with a good level of autonomy day to day, but as part of a collaborative team.What youll be doingCredit control & customer accountsManaging credit control activity end to endWorking with sales to pre-qualify terms for new customersCarrying out credit checks and maintaining customer accountsIssuing sales invoices and monthly statementsChasing and resolving aged debt and account queriesReviewing credit terms and reporting on bad debt provisionsReporting & month end supportPreparing monthly finance reports and schedulesSupporting reconciliations and month end processesAssisting with quarter end and year end reportingSupporting KPI and management information reportingMaintaining fixed asset registers and depreciationExpenses, admin & coverAdministering the online expenses systemSupporting wider finance admin and document controlProviding cover for purchase ledger during holidaysDocumenting finance processesAudit & compliancePreparing data and analysis for auditPlaying an active role in audit prep and audit deliveryEnsuring policies, controls and procedures are followedWhat theyre looking forAAT Level 3 or above, or qualified by experienceIdeally 45 years experience in a busy finance teamStrong Excel skills and confidence using finance systemsOrganised, reliable and comfortable working independentlySomeone who enjoys responsibility and getting things done properlyWhy its worth a lookBroad role with genuine responsibilityExposure to credit control, reporting and auditStable, established businessSupportive finance team with clear structureA role where youre trusted to run your area, not micromanagedBenefitsSalary 30-35k (full time equivalent)25 days holiday plus bank ( full time equivalent)Strong pension contributionProfit share (annually dependant on performance)Lots of other market leading benefits (get in touch for info)If youre a Senior Finance Assistant (or a strong Finance Assistant ready to step up) and want a role with variety, ownership and stability, this is well worth a conversation.Interviews to be conducted from February 9th onwardsJBRP1_UKTJ
