**Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist**">We are currently seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our team, with a clear and supported pathway to develop electrical engineering capabilities.This role is offered initially as a single-skilled position, with the opportunity to upskill into a flexi-skilled role through our in-house technical training programme.The starting salary for this role is £38,462, with progression to £44,320 once fully trained and signed off in the secondary skill. This is an excellent opportunity for career development within a supportive and forward-thinking engineering environment.You will be responsible for implementing an efficient instrumentation maintenance and installation service, analysing faults, rectifying and ensuring correct instrumentation and systems-based equipment. You will perform planned and proactive maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and internal company policies.To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work in a team but also alone, be resilient, self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and possess the required technical competence. You must also have a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent working experience, HNC or ONC in Instrumentation, and the ability to maintain the necessary skills, competence, and up-to-date knowledge in all relevant areas throughout your career.The ideal candidate will have diagnostic, organisational, planning, communication, and computer skills, industry experience, and a sound working knowledge of Simocode, Profibus, and similar industrial technology systems, as well as experience of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems and associated networks.This role may require lone working and participation in an out-of-hours standby rota, but it offers a rewarding and challenging opportunity to contribute to the delivery of great water services to a stronger, greener, and healthier North West of England.Job RequirementsImplement an efficient instrumentation maintenance and installation service.Analyse faults, rectify, and ensure correct instrumentation and systems-based equipment.Perform planned and proactive maintenance activities.Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and internal company policies.Maintain required financial control of a pre-defined budget.Provide reliable, accurate, and complete asset performance and repair information for entry into corporate systems.Analyse and recommend solutions to recurring maintenance problems.In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a range of benefits including a generous annual leave package, competitive pension scheme, and comprehensive healthcare plan.
