Specialist Coach Trowbridge Salary: 22,353 rising to 22,821 per annum Wiltshire College & University Centre have a great opportunity for a Specialist Coach to join our team. Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire Salary: 22,353 rising to 22,821 per annum (Full time equivalent 24,331 - 24,841per annum)(Professional Services Grade 4 &4a) Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, Term Time Only 36+4 weeks per year Closing Date: 25/09/25 About Us: Wiltshire College & University Centre plays a vital role in Wiltshires economy, inspiring people to develop the skills they need to achieve. Our campuses deliver a diversity of facilities from the country estate and farm of our Lackham campus to new hi-tech digital and state of the art facilities at our Trowbridge, Salisbury and Chippenham sites. We have invested 65 million in our estate over the past 10 years. Our turnover is 45 million per annum and growing, we employ some 650 staff, and support around 11,500students. At Wiltshire College & University Centre, we are looking for a Specialist Coach who is committed to helping every learner thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is more than just a support role. As a Specialist Coach , you will be a key part of our Inclusion and Support team working directly with students and alongside teaching staff to create inclusive, engaging learning environments for all. Specialist Coach Key Responsibilities: You will support students as they transition into college, throughout their studies, and as they prepare for their next steps whether thats further education, training, or employment. Working closely with curriculum teams, you will: Provide 1:1 coaching , small group support , and in-class assistance Champion inclusive learning practices and tailor support to meet a wide range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties Monitor progress and adapt strategies to ensure learners develop resilience, independence, and confidence Lead interventions in English and Maths , helping to close learning gaps and build core skills Use specialist equipment and assistive technology to enhance access to learning Work with staff to shape effective teaching strategies and exam access arrangements Specialist Coach You: You will be a proactive, empathetic professional with a deep understanding of inclusive education and learner development. You will have: Experience working with young people or adults with additional needs in an educational or support setting A positive, flexible mindset and a commitment to helping every student succeed Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 (GCSE AC) A relevant Level 3 qualification (or be willing to work towards one) A collaborative spirit ready to work closely with academic staff, support teams, and external partners This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same .
