Job Description Credit Placement AnalystTowcester, onsite Mon - FriA well-established and growing UK commercial finance brokerage is looking to strengthen its Credit Placement team. The business has a strong track record in the market, significant lender relationships, and an ambition to become a true one-stop shop for commercial finance.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making commercially sound credit decisions, influencing outcomes, and working closely with both sales teams and lenders to improve acceptance rates and deal quality.The roleSitting within the credit placement function, you will be responsible for making fast, well-reasoned placement decisions on packaged deals received from the sales team. The focus is on credit assessment, lender selection and negotiation, with administrative support in place to maximise your time on high-value judgement calls.Key responsibilitiesReview and assess packaged financial proposals, sense-checking structure, affordability, credit strength and completenessSelect the most appropriate lender based on appetite, policy, pricing and likelihood of approvalRefine or amend proposals prior to submission to improve approval rates and commercial outcomesLiaise directly with lenders to position cases, respond to queries, challenge credit decisions and negotiate improved termsManage and balance deal flow across the lender panel to protect relationships and long-term pricing outcomesMaintain accurate records within CRM and credit systems, delegating lower-value admin where possibleProvide clear feedback to sales teams on deal quality, lender appetite and recurring issuesSupport communication of lender programmes, product updates and credit policy changes into the wider businessWhat we're looking forEssential:Experience in credit placement, underwriting or credit analysis within asset finance, commercial lending, unsecured business lending or a similar environmentConfidence making reasoned decisions under pressure and justifying lender selection and deal structureStrong numeracy, attention to detail and disciplined CRM/system usageCommercial mindset with the confidence to push back constructively on both sales teams and lendersDesirable:Ability to interpret accounts, management information, forecasts and bank statements (or a strong desire to develop quickly)Good Excel and data-handling skillsOrganised and pragmatic, focused on high-value decisions over low-value administrationService-driven with a strong sense of reputation and relationship managementBenefitsCompetitive salary + bonusCompany pensionPrivate medical insuranceLife insuranceGym membership / on-site gymFree on-site parkingReferral programmeDue to location of the offices, a full, clean driving licence will be required.If you're an experienced credit professional who enjoys balancing risk, commerciality and lender relationships, this is an opportunity to play a key role in a growing and ambitious finance business.Please apply to find out more.JBRP1_UKTJ
