Avionics Technician & Administration Support Location: Southampton, Office based Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: 28,000 per annum Excellent Benefits Purpose of the role; To be able to Repair, modify, test and release to service a variety of Garmin manufactured Avionics Products. With strong verbal and written communication skills and good time management to prioritise workload. Electronic Servicing experience is required. To support the Aviation Repair Administrators Role. Key duties & Responsibilities; Repair, Modify, Adjust Align, Test and Final Release to Service of Garmin Avionics Equipment Understand and work within the realms of ISO 9001 AND FAA/CAA Part 145 requirements To understand and apply the appropriate functions of the Oracle business system that relate to the process flow and functions of the Aviation Repair Department. Set up and operate various pieces of test equipment Record, analyze and interpret test data. Completion of technical data on computer generated service reports and spreadsheets. Ability to communicate accurately and confidently verbally or written to Product support personnel, colleagues and occasionally to customers on technical issues relating to the unit repairs/modifications that pass through the Aviation Repair Workshop. Accessing and implementing Engineering Change Orders relating to unit repairs/ updates. Assistance with internal and external audits Manage and process inventory under department control Education & Experience; City and Guilds Electronic repair or equivalent experience. Electronic servicing experience Good soldering skills (including Surface Mount Technology) Strong verbal and written communications skills Functional use of Microsoft Office software applications Good time management to prioritize work when under pressure to prevent unnecessary grounding of aircraft.
