Bank Support Worker

Role - Bank Support worker - Learning Disabilities and Autism Respite service Additional - please note we are not offering sponsorship or change of sponsorship for this role. We are seeking experienced support workers in the Torquay area to cover bank shifts in our respite service. This is a busy service so we are seeking candidates who have energy, empathy and who have the skills to care for the people we support in the best way possible. About the service: Short Breaks is a 6 bed respite service providing person centred care to adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We support individuals during their stay with all aspects of daily living including personal care, medication, and outings. Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Burrow Down Support Services. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients. Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client progress and care plans. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
