Head Chef Hankley Common Golf Club Location: Farnham, Surrey Salary: Competitive, based on experience Contract: Full-time, permanent Are you a passionate, hands-on chef ready to lead your own kitchen and shape a food offering you can be proud of? Hankley Common Golf Club is seeking an experienced Head Chef to take the reins of our well-established kitchen as our current Head Chef retires. This is a rare opportunity to bring your creativity, leadership, and culinary skill to a highly regarded members golf club known for quality, consistency, and warm hospitality which we want to take to the next level. The Role As Head Chef, you will take full ownership of the kitchen operation from menu design to financial performance. Youll lead and inspire a team of four chefs, ensuring that every dish leaving the pass reflects your high standards and passion for great food. Youll be responsible for: Creating and developing menus that blend traditional golf club favourites with modern, seasonal twists. Cooking personally to a high standard , maintaining quality and consistency across all service periods. Managing kitchen budgets , stock control, and profit & loss to ensure a well-run, profitable operation. Motivating, developing, and mentoring your team to achieve their potential and deliver excellence. Sourcing quality local and regional ingredients , ensuring freshness and value. Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation. About You Were looking for a chef who is: Traditionally trained with a strong foundation in classic cooking but with the enthusiasm and passion to create modern menus from those foundations. Able to deliver menu choices that meet varying tastes and price points. Experienced in leading a small, focused team in a busy, high-quality kitchen. Financially astute and confident, analysing and managing kitchen costs and margins. Creative, with a flair for presenting familiar dishes with imagination and care. Passionate about every plate that leaves the kitchen consistency, flavour, pride and continuous improvement matter deeply to you.
