This is a hands-on role where you will both supervise and actively contribute to civils works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead site operatives on civils works including excavation, drainage, concreting, and reinstatementWork alongside the team as a hands-on operative when requiredPlan daily activities and allocate tasks effectivelyEnsure all works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirementsMaintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental complianceConduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessmentsCoordinate plant, materials, and labour on siteLiaise with site managers, engineers, and clientsMonitor progress and report on productivity and any issuesRequirementsEssential:Strong background in civil engineering / groundworksPrevious experience in a supervisory or ganger roleExperience working on utilities or water infrastructure projectsValid CSCS cardSSSTS or SMSTS qualificationFull UK driving licenceStrong knowledge of health & safety practicesTickets & Certifications The following are desirable but not essential. xjdpvnf Candidates without all certifications are still encouraged to apply:CPCS/NPORS Ride On RollerCPCS/NPORS Forward Tipping DumperCAT & Genny (Cable Avoidance Tool)Confined Space TrainingStreetworks (NRSWA)First Aid at Work Training and development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.Skills & AttributesStrong leadership and team management skillsHands-on, proactive approach to workExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsProblem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressureFlexible and willing to travel across sites
