The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of residential and commercial properties within our portfolio. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a broad range of maintenance skills who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining safe, functional, and attractive properties.A. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repair tasks across various properties, including:Plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains)Basic electrical work (e.g., replacing light fixtures, testing sockets)Carpentry (e.g., repairing doors, locks, flooring)Painting and decoratingTiling, plastering, and general cosmetic repairsGarden and outdoor area upkeep (e.g., lawn cutting, minor landscaping)Respond promptly to maintenance requests from property managers or tenantsConduct regular property inspections and report any issues or hazards in accordance with company guidelinesEnsure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulationsKeep accurate records of work, using Trello to report effectively and efficiently about completed works and materials usedLiaise with contractors and external suppliers when requiredAssist with property preparations before new lettings (e.g., cleaning, touch-ups)Provide emergency maintenance support as required (on-call availability may be necessaryRequirementsProven experience in general building maintenance, preferably within a residential lettings or property management environmentStrong practical knowledge across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)Ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficientlyFull clean UK driving license (essential)Own tools (desirable but not essential)Good communication skills and professional attitudeAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyGood knowledge of health 'safety procedures and risk assessmentsPreferred QualificationsNVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant trade (e.g., Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical)Experience using property maintenance software or reporting toolsDBS check may be required (especially for access to occupied residential units)Working ConditionsTravel between multiple property locations requiredSome weekend or out-of-hours work may be necessary for emergency repairsPhysical work involving lifting, climbing ladders, and use of tools and equipmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company carCompany pensionFree parkingExperience:Maintenance: 2 years (required)Licence/Certification:Driving Licence (preferred)Work Location: In personTPBN1_UKTJ
