Job Title: Multi-Skills TutorReady to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.Location: HMP WaylandSalary: From 30,000 per annumContract: Permanent, Full-TimeRole Overview:We are seeking a passionate and engaging Multi-Skills/Construction Tutor to deliver high-quality vocational training within a prison environment. This role goes beyond simply delivering lessons its about inspiring and motivating learners who may have had limited prior education, helping them to build skills, confidence, and brighter futures.Working on-site at HMP Wayland, you will deliver training to small groups of learners, supporting them to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours in preparation for employment upon release. You will also create and maintain individual training plans, provide advice and guidance, and ensure that all learners are given the best possible opportunity to succeed.Key Responsibilities:Deliver engaging, practical multi-skills construction sessions to small groups of learners.Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to meet individual needs and learning objectives.Create and manage tailored training plans that support learners progression and long-term aspirations.Provide pastoral support, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their programme.Use a variety of teaching and training methods to engage individuals with different learning styles.Ensure all learning delivery meets quality standards and compliance requirements.Monitor and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding and equality standards.Essential Criteria:Level 2 vocational qualification in a relevant construction or multi-skills trade.Strong vocational experience in one or more construction disciplines.Experience delivering practical, vocational-based training.Ability to use a range of training methods to engage and motivate learners.Passion for supporting learners to achieve their goals and potential.Desirable Criteria:Teaching or assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards this as part of your probationary period).Experience working within a secure environment or with disadvantaged groups.Key Skills and AttributesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs.Strong organisational and planning skills.A supportive and motivational approach to teaching and mentoring.Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.Additional InformationThis role is 100% site-based within a secure prison environment.An enhanced security clearance will be required and supported by the organisation.Full training and support provided for individuals working towards their teaching or assessing qualification.TPBN1_UKTJ
