HGV Mechanic Technician

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic/Technician to join our team based in Thatcham, Berkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are safe, compliant, and roadworthy at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesDay to day repair and preventative maintenance of HGVs and light vans, including MOT prep, PMI's, servicing and defectsRepairs and maintenance of specialist road marking machines & plantOn call Breakdown cover (Van provided) with on-call rota 1 week in 4Attend satellite depots to carry out repairs and maintenanceProactively maintain a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and colleaguesRequirementsHave a good working and mechanical knowledge of commercial vehiclesHave at least 5 years relevant experience in commercial and plant fitting, or qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or aboveWilling to undertake any additional training as deemed necessary as and when required.Honesty and IntegrityPunctualGood communication skillsTeam workProblem solving and be able to use good initiativeCalm under pressureDesirable Fabrication and welding Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems LGV licenceWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Overtime opportunities.Ongoing training and development.Supportive and professional working environment.Company pension scheme.JBRP1_UKTJ
