Speech and Language Therapist RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at HMP Thameside in South-East London.This part-time role involves working 18.75 hours per week (2.5 days) from Monday to Wednesday, 08:00 to 16:00.As a Speech and Language Therapist, your responsibilities will include:Conducting comprehensive assessments of service users based on the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of information.Providing timely and accurate reports that outline diagnoses, assessments, and recommendations in line with best practice guidelines.Communicating effectively with service users and other members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and promote social inclusion, independence, and well-being.Developing and implementing individualized treatment programmes for service users' communication needs and providing advice on communication difficulties.Collaborating with service users and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individual and group interventions aimed at achieving therapeutic goals.The Health in Justice team makes a significant impact across over 53 prisons, young offenders, and immigration removal centres.
