The successful candidate willbepassionate aboutteaching andlearningand willhave the abilityto motivatepupils and develop staff in a team which prides itself as being collaborative and supportive.You will be able to inspire effective teaching and learning within the classroom and beyond. You will understand the importance of data as a tool to trackpupilprogressandwillidentifyawiderangeofevaluationstrategiestoleadthedevelopmentin all aspects its success.Plan, deliver and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the Schools Curriculum framework and related policies, monitor, record and report on student progress and contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development PlanTo take responsibility for coordinating the teaching, development, assessment, recording and reporting of subjects and areas of learning across key stages as agreed with the Head Teacher and ensure Teaching Assistants/Tutors (where necessary) are well briefed and able to produce appropriate and effective resources/teaching aids.Theidealcandidatewill:BeaninspirationalteacherlookingtodeveloptheSENDprovisionforallpupils.Beapersonwhothrivesinafun,yetchallengingenvironment.BeanexceptionalclassroomteacherwithexperienceinworkingwithSENDpupilsHaveaproventrackrecordinraisingstandardsandagoodunderstandingofschool improvement.Haveapassionforbuildingstrongrelationshipswithyoungpeoplethroughrestorative working.Besomeonewhoisresilientand approachable.Beagoodcommunicatorwhoisabletoinspireandmotivatepupilsbutalsowhocanremain calm under pressure and have a sense of humour.Becreativeinyourteachingandstrivetobringoutthebestinpupils.Essential:QTSExperience of teaching in a SEN environment desirableAbout usNorton College is a specialist independent provider that aims to positively support young people who have a range of complex learning needs through vocational courses and bespoke learning packages.Acorn Education is the UKs leading independent provider of specialist education.
