Full-time, Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week)We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading name in the window systems industry, for an experienced Commercial Specification Engineer to join their growing technical team.The RoleReporting directly to the Design Manager, you'll play a key part in supporting specification managers and customers with design services, ensuring the correct products are used and meet Building Regulations. This is a varied role that combines technical expertise, customer support, and the opportunity to deliver seminars and training sessions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare technical drawings and sketches for window system productsProduce manufacturing cutting sheets and drawingsConduct site surveys and provide technical advice to customersManage one-off conservatory designs, calculations, and load-bearing elementsDeliver internal and external technical seminars/CPDs on window systems, installation, and complianceRespond to customer queries on energy ratings, construction, costs, Building Regulations, and product performanceSupport Technical Sales meetings with customers and stakeholdersAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you'll need:Minimum 2 years' experience in fabrication and installationStrong knowledge of window systems and related standardsProficiency with AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Excel, and AccessExperience conducting site surveys and site managementA full UK driving licencePersonal AttributesDetail-oriented with a clean and methodical approach to workPunctual, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a teamStrong communication and customer-facing skillsPositive, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWhat's in it for you?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business where your technical expertise will directly impact customer satisfaction and company growth.
