This is a rewarding statutory role focused on helping young people transition successfully from care into independent adulthood.The RoleAs a Personal Advisor, you will act as the key professional for young people leaving care, supporting them from age 16 through to 21, or up to 25 where required. You will work in partnership with young people and their wider support networks to help them develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to live independently.This role requires a compassionate, organised, and proactive individual who can build trusting relationships and manage a varied caseload.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake the statutory Personal Advisor role for care-experienced young people aged 16–21, and up to 25 where eligibleAct as key worker and case manager for Former Relevant young people, and provide advice and support to Relevant and Qualifying young people where requiredSupport young people to develop independent living skills, including housing, education, employment, finances, and wellbeingWork collaboratively with young people, families, carers, and partner agencies to support positive transitions from carePrepare young people for leaving care through pathway planning, advice, and practical supportProvide ongoing guidance, advice, and advocacy as young people move into adulthoodCarry out visits and maintain regular contact in line with statutory guidance and service expectationsMaintain accurate, up-to-date case records using electronic systemsPromote the voice of the young person and ensure support plans are person-centred and outcome-focusedEssential RequirementsExperience working with children, young people, or care leavers in a support or statutory settingUnderstanding of leaving care legislation and statutory guidanceStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage a caseload and work independentlyFull UK driving licenceAccess to your own vehicle with business insuranceWillingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of young peopleWorking with Seven Resourcing:Established in 2011, Seven Resourcing is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of temporary and ad-hoc professionals.
