HGV Highways Operative - TavistockOur clients are looking for a Highways Operative to join their hardworking dedicated team in Tavistock.Key Responsibilities:Work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, ranging from Patching, Resurfacing, Potholes, Drainage, Footways and General Highway Maintenance.Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the for the day to day tasks set.Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.Where appropriate provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.Essential Skills:Clean driving License.A commitment to Health and Safety.Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.CSCS Card.Desirable Skills:Highways experience.HGV licence.New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA).Operative Accreditation Lantra 12d.Winter WorksRate of Pay:£13.00-£13.50 per hour depending upon experience.These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from.Accrued Holiday Pay from day one.Pension contributions (after a qualifying period).Weekly Pay.No Umbrella payments or fees.Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip.This is a temporary role, but there is a possibility this could become permanent in the future so to apply for this role please send your CV through this websiteJBRP1_UKTJ
