Our client is renowned for producing high-end, bespoke furniture and architectural joinery for luxury residential projects across Somerset and the South West.This is a role for a true makersomeone who takes pride in traditional techniques while being proficient with modern machinery to create pieces that last a lifetime.The RoleWorking within a highly equipped workshop, your responsibilities will include:Bespoke Fabrication: Crafting one-off pieces of furniture, luxury kitchens, and high-end fitted joinery from technical drawings.Material Selection: Selecting and preparing premium hardwoods, veneers, and sheet materials.Assembly & Hand Finishing: Executing complex joints (dovetails, mortise and tenon) and ensuring an impeccable sanded or sprayed finish.Machinery Operation: Safe use of panel saws, spindle moulders, planers, and CNC machinery where applicable.Installation: Occasional site visits to ensure the final fit is as perfect as the workshop build.The Ideal CandidateProven Craftsmanship: Extensive experience in cabinet making or high-end bench joinery.Technical Accuracy: Ability to read and interpret detailed CAD drawings and cutting lists.Eye for Detail: A "perfectionist" mindset with a deep understanding of wood movement and grain matching.Tool Kit: Must be confident using both traditional hand tools and industrial workshop machinery.Local to Somerset: Ideally based within a commutable distance of Taunton, Bridgwater, or Wellington.The PackageCompetitive salary up to 45,000 (dependent on bench test and experience).Opportunity to work on unique, award-winning design projects.A clean, well-organized workshop environment with a supportive team of makers.Standard pension and holiday package.How to ApplyIf you have the hands-on skill and the portfolio to match, Id love to speak with you.JBRP1_UKTJ
