Private Client Solicitor - Trusts, Tax & Wealth Planning Taunton | Hybrid | 0-2 PQE A leading South West firm is looking to hire a junior solicitor into its top-tier Private Client team in Taunton, with a focus on trusts, personal tax, and high-value wealth planning. This is an opportunity for a recently qualified solicitor or trust adviser to build deep, long-term expertise in a technical and rewarding area of private client work - with access to high-quality clients, structured development, and a genuinely supportive team. The team advises UK-based trustees, high-net-worth families, and business owners on the long-term management and transfer of wealth. The work combines technical trust and tax knowledge with practical client insight - and involves close collaboration with accountants, financial advisers, and other professionals. The successful candidate will support the full lifecycle of trust matters: from initial structuring and drafting, through to annual tax compliance, personal tax returns, and complex advisory work. They will also assist with estate planning and Wills involving trust structures. The work includes: Advising trustees and beneficiaries on the administration and taxation of UK trusts Drafting trust deeds, letters of wishes, and related legal documentation Preparing or overseeing annual trust accounts and tax returns Supporting personal tax compliance for HNW individuals and families Assisting with estate planning, Wills, and succession matters involving trusts Liaising with financial planners, accountants, and tax professionals Providing day-to-day legal and tax guidance in a long-term advisory capacityThe right candidate will have: 0-2 years PQE as a solicitor, legal executive, or trust adviser A clear interest in private client work, trusts, and tax Organised, thoughtful, and comfortable managing multiple matters A natural communicator with strong attention to detail Experience in trust administration or tax compliance would be an advantage Working towards STEP or with an interest in further qualificationThe team is based in Taunton and works on a hybrid basis (typically two days a week in the office).
