HGV Mechanic

Job Overview: We are currently seeking 2 skilled AND QUALIFIED HGV Mechanic to join our team in maintaining HGV vehicles. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers vehicles are fully maintained. Prefer IRTEC and class 1 but not essential. You must be able to work on own initiative and have an awareness of COSHH/ Health and safety and good with paperwork submitting accurate job sheets and working with customer software/ordering products. After the 45 hours overtime would be time an half but not weekends. Pro rata of salary. A knowledge of Electric vans would also be an advantage. But not essential. Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance tasks , brake inspections. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems. Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to identify faults. Test vehicle functionality and ensure proper performance. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair services performed. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times. Take for MOT'S if required. Experience: Proven experience as a HGV Mechanic Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills. Relevant qualifications in automotive technology and possibly electric or a related field.
