Refrigeration Technician

Refrigeration FitterGroomfield Recruitment are supporting a client in the search for an experienced Refrigeration Fitter to join their production team. This is a hands-on role involving the assembly, fitting, and testing of specialised cooling and air-treatment equipment. The position suits someone with strong mechanical fitting skills and a solid understanding of refrigeration systems.Package:Salary: £35,000 per annum Production bonus Overtime rates available 40 Hours per week20 days holiday plus bank holiday, extra day per years of serviceKey Responsibilities as a Refrigeration Fitter:Mechanical fitting and assembly of components.Pressure testing and charging of refrigeration units.Electrical wiring of control panels (training provided where required).Cladding, finishing, and preparation of completed units.Functional testing of finished equipment to ensure performance and safety.Working from technical instructions and within planned build times.Ensuring high self-inspection standards and maintaining product quality.Skills & Experience Required as a Refrigeration Fitter:Good knowledge of refrigeration and cooling systems (single and dual stage).Proven experience in a mechanical or refrigeration fitting role.Strong mechanical and electrical fitting skills.Experience in brazing, soldering, and pipe bending (copper tube).Ability to work from detailed instructions and deliver work within set timescales.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.F-Gas qualification preferred, though training may be provided for the right candidate.TPBN1_UKTJ
