As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be creating component, assembly, and system designs, along with associated through-life justification to meet requirements and product attributes such as life, cost, availability, and safety margins. Creating full life cycle design solutions through concept, design, manufacture, operation, and disposal. Integrating cross-discipline engineering concepts and collaborating across manufacturing engineering, simulation, materials, testing, and supply chain functions. Documenting and verifying information against sound mechanical engineering practices and references. Presenting at technical reviews in front of peers and expert panels. Qualifications and experience include: Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably with exposure to process plant, mechanical components, machining, tooling, handling and lifting, special purpose machinery, pressure vessels, boilers, or assembly processes. CAD design software experience. Industry experience from civil nuclear, marine, petro-chemical, oil & gas, or special purpose machinery sectors. Engineering qualification or relevant experience (Chartered, Degree, HND, HNC, or Apprentice Trained).
