Job Description My client has an exciting opportunity for aPrincipal Level Geo-Environmental Engineerfor either their Milton Keynes or Swindon offices, offering great development and progression prospects compared to a larger consultancy. They are a busy and friendly geo-environmental, geotechnical, and site investigation company operating on projects across the south of England, Wales, and the Midlands. The client base ranges from small to medium house builders to commercial businesses and mineral extraction, providing staff with a broad knowledge base in a short period. ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor a small team of Engineers Technical lead within the team Carry out Site Contamination Assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3 Conduct Site Investigations for geotechnical appraisal and combined investigations using standard techniques Schedule contamination, waste classification, and geotechnical laboratory testing Design remediation works and validate results Write interpretative geo-environmental reports Project management and client liaison, including cost control Perform infiltration testing Maintain good HSEQ understanding Hold a full clean driving license A thorough technical understanding of contaminated land legislation and consultancy is required. An understanding of interpretative geotechnical report writing and familiarity with the EIA process and reporting would be advantageous. QualificationsThe candidate should be degree qualified in a relevant field, with a Master’s Degree being advantageous. Chartership with a relevant professional body is also desirable. The candidate must have significant experience in Ground Investigation, especially in Geo-Environmental aspects. Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate would be solution-focused, with excellent communication skills, a proven HSEQ and technical record, and effective project management capabilities.
