Job Title: Out of Hours - Senior Business Travel Consultant Location: Home-Based (UK) Hours: 4 shifts per week (Typically 2 midweek and 2 weekend) Shift Patterns: Monday Friday 18:0008:30 | Weekends & UK Bank Holidays Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Reports To: Operations Manager Alignment Search and Selection are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Travel Management Company for an experienced and empathetic Out of Hours Senior Business Travel Consultant to join their dynamic, customer-focused team. The Role: This vital role supports the travel operation outside of standard working hours, assisting clients experiencing travel disruption or needing urgent travel arrangements. You will play a key part in delivering timely, efficient travel solutions during critical and often stressful situations. The client base includes Corporate, Media, Entertainment, and Contractor travellers, demanding high standards of service and attention to detail. Responsibilities: Respond promptly and professionally to client calls and emails Provide expert advice and support for all aspects of travel Maintain the high standard of customer service delivered by the daytime team Accurately issue, reissue, and recalculate international and domestic airfares Source and book the best value flights, rail, hotel, and ground transportation worldwide Perform quality control on bookings when call volumes are lower Monitor global travel events and provide risk analysis to senior management About You: You are calm under pressure, self-motivated, and experienced in managing urgent and complex travel scenarios. You have a reassuring communication style and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, especially when clients are facing disruption or stress. Essential Skills & Experience: At least 5 years experience within a Travel Management Company (TMC) Strong proficiency in native Sabre and Amadeus GDS systems In-depth knowledge of international and domestic airfares, including CAT35 and Route Deals Proven ticketing experience Fares & Ticketing Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent practical experience) Solid grasp of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, and Excel Strong geographical and product knowledge of destinations and airlines Awareness of global events and their potential impact on travel Excellent organisational skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset Looking for a new challenge where you can make a real impact outside of traditional office hours?
