Job Description Contracts Manager (Groundworks & Civil Engineering)Southwest Wiltshire / East Somerset65,000 80,000 + Company Car / Car AllowanceFull-Time | PermanentWe are currently working with a well-established and growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to support the delivery of projects across the region.This is a key operational role overseeing multiple residential infrastructure and groundwork schemes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.The RoleAs Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for multiple live sites, working closely with site teams, clients and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery and consistent performance across all schemes.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee multiple groundwork and infrastructure projects across residential developmentsEnsure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectationsPromote a strong culture of Safety, Quality, Cost and Time across all sitesSupport and manage site teams to deliver work safely and efficientlyBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractorsWork closely with commercial teams to monitor costs, CVRs and financial performanceEnsure full compliance with health & safety, environmental and company standardsIdentify and manage operational risks across projectsContribute to pre-start meetings, planning, resource allocation and reportingSupport the development of site teams, including junior staff and apprenticesAbout YouProven experience in a Contracts Manager or similar role within groundworks or civil engineeringStrong leadership skills with a hands-on, solutions-focused approachGood commercial awareness and understanding of contract deliveryExcellent communication and organisational skillsSMSTS and CSCS (Black Card preferred)Full UK driving licenceWhats on OfferCompetitive salary (65,000 80,000)Company car or car allowancePension and benefits packageLong-term opportunity within a stable business with a strong pipeline of workSupportive leadership team and opportunities for career progression
