Reporting to the Head of Legal, this is a highprofile role where youll engage with the business in a partnering capacity, delivering legal advice in a commercial, pragmatic and user-friendly way.nYoull act as the primary legal lead for all mergers and acquisitions activity across the Group, providing strategic, commerciallyfocused legal support throughout the entire transaction lifecycle. You will work closely with senior leaders, external advisers, and crossfunctional teams to ensure opportunities are assessed rigorously, executed efficiently, and integrated effectively. nAlongside M&A, youll provide highquality legal advice across a range of corporate and commercial matters, becoming a trusted partner to teams across the organisation.nThis role provides an opportunity for a "self-starter who wishes to develop and expand into new areas of work and influence the strategic vision of a business.nKey responsibilities:nLeading M&A activity across the Group, including:nn Assessing opportunities, structuring deals and advising on regulatory considerationsn Leading negotiations, due diligence, and drafting/negotiating transaction documentsn Managing external counsel across corporate, regulatory, competition, tax and other workstreamsn Preparing governance materials such as board papers and shareholder resolutionsn Supporting postcompletion integration, ensuring obligations and operational needs are metnnProviding broader legal support, including:nn Commercial contracts, IP, competition, commercial partnerships, joint ventures, trust/employee benefits, employment, property, group insurance and IT.n Advising product and commercial teams in a productled environmentn Working closely with Procurement on contract review and contract management processesn Supporting corporate and company secretarial matters alongside the Group General Counseln Enhancing legal templates, customer terms, and the overall efficiency of the legal functionnnnnnn
