Job Description Hartmann Young is partnered with a leading European CMO within the dietary supplements and consumer health space to appoint a Business Development Manager UK, supporting an ambitious phase of growth.This is a high-impact commercial role suited to an individual who operates at a consistently high level, brings a strong track record of closing complex, high-value deals, and takes genuine pride in delivering a best-in-class client experience.The OpportunityOur client is a well-established, multi-site European CMO with significant growth plans. This role offers the opportunity to work with large, sophisticated customers, managing complex sales cycles and acting as a trusted commercial partner to branded supplement companies across Europe. Success in this position requires commercial rigour, attention to detail, and technical credibility, alongside the ability to build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive new business development across key European dietary supplement marketsOwn and close high-value, complex CMO sales opportunities, from initial engagement through to long-term manufacturing agreementsAct as a trusted partner to customers, delivering a high-touch, solutions-led serviceBuild and manage relationships with senior commercial, technical and procurement stakeholdersDemonstrate strong technical understanding of formulations, manufacturing processes and regulatory considerationsWork closely with internal technical, regulatory, quality and operations teams to deliver robust, scalable solutionsMaintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting and CRM reportingRepresent the business professionally at key European industry eventsCandidate ProfileProven experience selling CMO or contract manufacturing services within the UK dietary supplement marketTrack record of successfully closing large-value, complex B2B dealsStrong technical understanding of dietary supplement manufacturing and regulatory frameworksHighly detail-oriented with pride in delivering an exceptional level of serviceConfident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functionsCommercially astute, structured and process-drivenAmbitious, growth-minded and motivated by long-term career progressionWhy This Role?Join a highly credible European CMO with substantial growth ambitionsClear career trajectory and development runway for the right individualExposure to senior leadership and strategic growth initiativesCompetitive salary, performance-related bonus and benefits
