Transaction Processing Manager

Position: Transactional Processing Manager Contract: Permanent Location: Sutton Coldfield - Hybrid (3 days office-based, 2 days home working) Salary: Up to 65,000 per annum Intro to the role We are looking for an accomplished and forward-thinking Transactional Processing Manager to lead and modernise our core transactional finance operations. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury, while strengthening controls, embedding automation, and delivering continuous improvement at scale. Your role in our story Reporting to the Director of Finance Operations, you will sit within the Finance leadership team and lead the teams responsible for day-to-day transactional finance delivery. You will combine strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, setting direction, developing capability and ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of our transactional processes. You will play a key role in strengthening governance, improving efficiency and partnering with stakeholders across Finance and IT to modernise systems and ways of working. Why choose us? Competitive annual salary Company bonus scheme (10%) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme with 4% matched contribution Life assurance Hybrid working model Free on-site parking Your impact and responsibilities As a Transactional Processing Manager, you will: Lead, develop and motivate transactional finance teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement Own and optimise end-to-end transactional finance processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy and control Ensure robust governance, internal controls and full compliance with regulatory and audit requirements Act as a senior point of contact for internal and external audits relating to transactional finance Partner with Finance and IT colleagues to streamline workflows and integrate systems Monitor performance against KPIs and service-level standards, providing transparent reporting and insight to senior leaders Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring consistency, quality and timeliness of outputs Skills and knowledge We are looking for someone with: Significant experience leading transactional finance operations (AP, AR and Treasury) A strong track record of delivering process improvement and automation initiatives Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics Sound knowledge of financial controls, governance and audit requirements Strong leadership and people management capability, with experience developing high-performing teams Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability A professional finance qualification (e.g. ACCA or AAT) is desirable but not essential Why this matters You will play a critical role in strengthening the financial foundations of Dignity Your work will directly improve efficiency, control and service delivery across the organisation You will help modernise finance operations through automation and best-practice processes This role offers genuine scope to shape, influence and leave a lasting impact What are the next steps?
