One of the Norths leading firms of chartered accountants and business advisors, offering an extensive range of corporate, personal and specialist services, and employing c.1,000 staff, is keen to recruit a new Business Advisory Senior to its growing Newcastle office to focus on accounts preparation and liaise with audit and tax staff to meet relevant client deadlines.The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.As Business Advisory Senior you act as clients accounts function (year-end and management accounts, corporate and personal tax returns, VAT returns, budgets and forecasts for selected clients), with responsibilities including:Ensuring that allocated Business Advisory work is handled effectively and correctly from start to finishPreparation of draft accounts for review from client records, clearance of review points and finalising of accountsInitial preparation of business and personal tax computationsArrange the timing of tax and other business line work with the manager responsible for the clientEngage with the relationship manager and specialist staff from other business lines, when required, to gain a good understanding of client businessesLiaise with client staff while on the clients premises, building effective relationships, maintaining confidentiality and informing of progress and issuesMonitor budgeted versus actual time spent, flagging up issues and overruns to the manager on a timely basisComplete accounts files and all required documentationAs Business Advisory Senior youll need:A background in public practice as an Accounts Senior, Business Advisory Senior or AssistantQualified or near to completing AAT, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualification/experienceStrong IT skills and experience in using accounting packages.Good working knowledge of clients accounting systems such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooksTax experience would be an advantageRewards & Benefits:Basic salary of 30,000 - 40,000 and competitive benefits packageFull timePermanentExcellent training, support and career development opportunitiesAttractive city centre office and flexible workingPlease note:- To secure maximum pay/rewards, you must possessalloutlined experience, skills, knowledge and relevant qualifications.- High levels of interest mean we will only contact you if your application is shortlisted and this will happen within five working days. xjdpvnf - Candidates must have the right to work in the UK permanently and without any restrictions there is no visa sponsorship on offer for this role.
