Deputy Manager Supported Living (Learning Disabilities) Location: Sunderland Salary: 29,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 per week We are working on behalf of a leading care provider to recruit a Deputy Manager who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities. The Role As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading and supporting a dedicated team to deliver high-quality supported living services. You will ensure services are person-centred, compliant with CQC requirements, and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. Key Requirements A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential) Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards) Experience in supported living or domiciliary care Management / leadership experience (essential), with relevant qualification (desirable) Knowledge of CQC regulations and the Health & Social Care Act Experience in creating rosters, maintaining compliance paperwork, and leading audits Ability to review and develop support plans, risk assessments, and client documentation Flexible, adaptable, and resilient, with a caring and approachable nature British Sign Language skills (desirable) Key Responsibilities Supervise care staff and act as service lead in the absence of the Registered Manager Ensure policies, procedures, and regulatory standards are met Build strong relationships with clients, families, and staff teams Promote and safeguard client wellbeing Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and regular team meetings Maintain accurate and audit-ready records Support the continuous improvement of services If you are a confident leader with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care, we would love to hear from you.
