Job Descriptionn nJob Title: Senior Management AccountantnLocation: Washington; Tyne & Wear. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular rolenSalary: Up to 55,869 depending on skills & experiencenWhat youll be doing:nnMonitor and analyse the financial performance of Site Operations cost areas, providing independent financial challenge and regular reviews with senior stakeholdersnDeliver accurate and consistent management reporting for Site Operations, including site stock and labour hours analysisnSupport the Cost Performance Lead in developing the five-year Integrated Business Plan, including direct labour rate calculations and co-ordinating inputs from budget holdersnPrepare monthly accruals, prepayments and journal corrections, and raise purchase requisitions to support operational, engineering and production activitiesnEnsure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures, and support internal and external audit requirementsnSupport business stakeholders in understanding financial information, including forecasting and key metric analysisnPromote standardisation and continuous improvement, sharing best practice across the wider FP&A teamnWork collaboratively with finance teams across sites and disciplines within the Defence Solutions business to communicate financial performance and key metricsnnnYour skills and experiences:nEssentialnnProven experience in management accounting and FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and operational cost analysisnAdvanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data manipulationnAbility to work effectively with non-financial stakeholders, translating financial information into clear insightsnExperience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, supporting operational and financial processesnnDesirablennFully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or qualified by experiencenProficiency with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, for reporting and financial managementnnnBenefitsnAs well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.nnThe Cost Performance Team:nThe Cost Performance team sits within the FP&A function of Munitions Finance, managing costs across our Land UK manufacturing sites. We work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to provide financial analysis and challenge that supports effective decision-making.nThis role oversees finance for small arms ammunition production and offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing and dynamic part of the business.
