LocationWoodchester, GloucestershireSalary up to 45,000 depending on experience.Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.We are looking for a motivated individual to support our Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) function, helping to ensure that our suppliers consistently deliver high-quality products and processes that meet Renishaws standards and contribute to our operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesWork with multiple manufacturing functions to capture purchased item quality problem statementsPartner with, and visit, external suppliers to support the development and management of new and existing suppliersCollaborate with Design teams to understand critical features, tolerances, and performance requirementsWork with Purchasing to identify, assess, and develop new suppliers in line with commodity strategiesSupport Purchasing in mitigating future production supply risksWork closely with Goods-In Inspection to ensure effective management and inspection of incoming goodsGenerate clear, structured reports presenting inspection outcomes or quality investigation findingsIdentify opportunities for improved process control and/or design-for-manufacture (DFM) cost-down initiativesTake ownership of departmental metrics and work to agreed targetsConduct and document supplier visits and assessmentsProactively develop personal technical skills and knowledge to support evolving role requirementsOwn, coordinate, and deliver defined strategic or profile projectKey requirementsDegree level qualifications in an engineering/manufacturing disciplineProfessionalism, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with stakeholdersDriven, self-motivated and willing to learn and contributeDesirable requirementsKnowledge of engineering and inspection techniques and equipmentAwareness of quality systems e.g. ISO9001Person specificationYou will need sound problem solving mindset and a logical approach to varied technical challenges.
