Job DescriptionFinancial Accountant (Qualified or part qualified).Full-time Hybrid working in Stroud HQ, circa 40,000 - 50,000 per annum dependent on experience and level of qualification. We are ideally looking for those with a quick start date allowing for a great handover. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Accountant will be hands-on across financial reporting, statutory compliance, systems development, business partnering, and process improvement.The position supports Invivo Clinicals mission of advancing health through the science of the human microbiome and reflects Microba and Invivos commitment to excellence in financial management.Key Areas Of AccountabilityFinancial Accounting and Month-End CloseRegulatory & Statutory ComplianceExternal Audit & Financial ReportingFinancial Planning & AnalysisSystem & Process ImprovementBusiness Partnering & Stakeholder EngagementEssential Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalentPart-qualified or newly qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)2+ years in a finance role with month-end ownership, ideally from audit backgroundStrong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, VAT, PAYE, financial controlsProficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modellingHands-on experience with accounting software and month-end processesDesirableChartered (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified)Post-qualified with industry experienceLife sciences, biotech or SME experiencePrevious work in an international group is desirableHands on experience with Odoo, Netsuite, Sage or similar ERP systems is beneficialKey SkillsProactive - Able to take ownership of outcomes with a hands-on mindset.Resilient - Manages competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, growing organisation.Collaboration - Builds effective relationships and communicates clearly with both finance and non-finance colleagues.Solutions led - The ability to identify and solve problems or provide suggestions to solve such problems goes a long way.
