Estates Compliance Surveyor Street, Somerset 40,000 to 45,000 + 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm + Holiday + Pension Excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced Compliance Surveyor to join a respected and well-established independent school, taking ownership of statutory compliance across a diverse and high-profile estate. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of buildings and facilities, including teaching buildings, boarding houses, sports venues, commercial kitchens, libraries, and swimming pools. This hands-on role involves carrying out inspections and evaluations across the campus, including fire safety, asbestos management, water hygiene, radon monitoring, and equipment compliance. You will produce accurate reports, maintain up-to-date compliance records, and ensure timely resolution of remedial works. This role offers a rare chance to take real ownership of compliance within a thriving school environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, confident in questioning processes where appropriate, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider Estates team. A relevant HNC/HND/Degree in construction or built environment is desirable, along with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications. Practical certifications such as P405 Asbestos Management, P901 Legionella, and Fire Safety accreditation are advantageous.
